Embracing the chaos

Photography isn’t just clicking a button, it’s capturing life as it is. The unpredictable/beautiful chaos.

My little brother Dawson is nonverbal and has autism. He doesn’t always smile for photos, and that’s totally okay. Growing up, finding someone who understood that would’ve been hard. I also teach kids who are too medically fragile or behaviorally challenged to attend public school.  

That’s why I do this.

For families like mine.

For kids like him.

For anyone who feels like photos don’t usually work for them.

I get that sessions can feel overwhelming and unpredictable. I don’t expect perfection!

Also… I’m awkward. Life’s awkward. So let’s just be a little weird and take some really good photos.
