If you somehow found yourself here, welcome.
This blog is basically every tab open in my brain at once but organized slightly better.
The Sophia Forest Chronicle is where I’ll be sharing a little bit of everything that makes Sophia Forest Photography what it is. You’ll probably see behind-the-scenes stories from sessions, photography tips, client interviews, life updates, small business chaos, things I’m learning, ideas floating around in my head at 1am, and the reality of balancing motherhood, teaching, editing, and running a photography business in Texas heat.
Some posts may help future clients feel more prepared before their session. Some may be random updates about life lately. Some may be me talking about why your kid refusing to smile at photos is actually completely normal. And some will probably just exist because I needed somewhere to write things down after a long session or a really meaningful conversation with a client.
Photography has become so much more than just taking photos for me. It’s storytelling, documenting seasons of life, meeting people I never would’ve crossed paths with otherwise, and somehow building a career around real moments instead of perfect ones.
This blog is also an outlet for everything that goes into running Sophia Forest Photography behind the scenes. The emails. The planning. The session guides. The coffee-fueled editing nights. The constant location scouting. The weather stress. The mini session ideas that randomly appear while I’m driving. The wins, the hard days, and all the in-between moments that most people don’t really see.
So whether you’re here because you’re a future client, another photographer, a parent trying to survive family photos with toddlers, or just someone who likes following along with creative chaos — I’m really glad you’re here.
